Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva presented the awards at the 11^th edition of the "Insurers for Society" competition, organized on the occasion of 1 October – the professional holiday of insurers.

The forum is held annually with the participation of the University of Insurance and Finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies, the Prof. PhD Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation, and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers..

"This award is a recognition not only of professional success, but also of the social mission of companies that support causes and contribute to a more secure and stable life. When businesses put people at the center of their values, they gain the most important thing—the trust and respect of society," said Delcheva.

She emphasized that the initiatives of the award-winning companies create real value for people and are an example of how business can be an active partner in solving social challenges.

First prize: Generali Insurance for the project The Human Safety Net: Making way for early childhood development services in Bulgaria..

Second prize: Grupa Bulgaria EAD – for first aid training under the Life Savers Programme“.

Third prize: SDI Group EAD for a donation to a rehabilitation center for children with oncological and hematological diseases in the village of Opitsvet.

The ceremony was held at the Grand Hotel Astoria in Sofia, where companies were awarded in a total of 10 categories for 2024.
