Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria

Prof. Dr. Diana Kovacheva was sworn in on April 17, 2024 as the Bulgarian judge at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). She was elected to this post with a 9-year term on 24 January 2024 by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The institution of the Ombudsman continues to consider complaints and organize reception days for citizens until the election of a new ombudsman by the National Assembly.

Citizens, as before, can ask their questions during the usual working hours - 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Consultations, information and inquiries about already filed complaints and other questions are provided by the institution's Reception-room every working day between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the following phone numbers: +359 (0)2/81-06-955; mobile: +359 (0)879 59 63 58.
