Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva presented the awards in the category Mayor of the Citizens from the national competition Mayor of the Year, organized for the 13th time by Kmeta.bg.
"This award is truly special because it comes from the people themselves and is earned not with promises and words, but with trust, hard work, and results. That is why it is the highest recognition a mayor can receive. For the Ombudsman Institution, the voice of the citizens is not just important—it is the meaning of our mission, and it is also the meaning of your mission," said the Ombudsman at the awards ceremony.
Delcheva congratulated the mayors for their efforts and for proving every day that citizen-oriented governance is possible.
