The Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, Velislava Delcheva, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, H.E. Nathaniel Copsey.

During the conversation, a number of key topics were discussed, including: the main priorities in the Ombudsman's work on protecting human rights, the rights of vulnerable groups, migration issues, combating domestic violence, and other current issues. Possible areas of cooperation between the Ombudsman Institution and the British Embassy were also outlined.

"The Ombudsman's agenda is determined by the real problems of citizens. My priorities include children at risk and in conflict with the law, the elderly, and the rights of people with disabilities. I work actively to ensure transparency in the administration, compliance with European standards for the protection of human rights, and the promotion of civic participation," said Velislava Delcheva.

Ambassador Copsey confirmed the United Kingdom's commitment to dignity and equality for all people and expressed readiness for future cooperation with the Ombudsman Institution.
